Chief Engineer
Alliance is seeking a hands on PMA (Parts Manufacturing Approval) Chief Engineer who leads teams of project engineers and support personnel in the designing, analyzing, testing, and certification of FAA- PMA parts / components for all Commercial transport platforms under test and computation.Responsibilities:
• Manages the Airlines Technical interface adhering to special Airlines
/ MRO requirements
• Point of contact for all technical issues externally and internally
• Lead engineer for the organization for the safety and execution of all
engineering for all projects
• Provides technical advice and support to the President and project staff
• Manages all technical processes
• Manages all configuration management processes
• Manages all manufacturing and supply chain technical issues
Duties:
• Review and approve Statements of Work and Engineering bids for potential
customer contracts as well as internally funded (IR&D) projects
• Assist the Project Engineers with assembling their engineering teams
for approved programs and ensure they can operate within internal processes
• Primary point of contact for technical coordination with FAA MCO, ACO,
and MIDO
• Assist in resolving programmatic and technical problems that would affect
cost, schedule, and aircraft system performance
• Address technical challenges and provide proactive solutions while meeting
the overall technic
• Ensures team’s performance to approved engineering and program
schedules and budgets
Requirements:
• Experience per Figure #1
• Must have B.S. in Mechanical Engineering ( M.S. Mechanical Engineering
preferred)
• Must have 15 years of experience within the Airline / MRO industry
• Airframe & Powerplant License
• Must have working knowledge of the FAA regulations, orders and policies,
especially Orders :

• Must have significant experience in coordinating with the FAA ACO and
other FAA technical groups
• Strong presentation skills that can be adapted for various audiences
• Project Engineering or Project Management experience in Aerospace
• Demonstrated ability to draft and complete a statement of work
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical requirements with customers
and suppliers
• Experience with aircraft modifications, both airframe and systems modifications
• US Citizenship
